If you are seeking to have a successful business then Setting Goals To Be Successful In Network Marketing is imperative. Now that 2017 has arrived I felt it was appropriate to provide you with information that will make the difference in 2017 when it comes to success or failure in your network marketing business.
So often in network marketing people have no goals, no business plan, no schedule of when they will work their business. Imagine if all business owners operated in that manner, there would be more failures in business than successes in business.
I find that when you talk to people who have been in network marketing and they want to say the model does not work, if you get into a indepth conversation with them, it is not that network marketing does not work it is they did not do what was necessary to have a successful business.
There should be several things you consider when you are working on your business goal setting. Your goals and goal setting should be centered around your business. You need to have realistic objectives. Set specific goals to help you achieve your objectives.
I understand that for some this may sound a little confusing but what your goals and objectives are going to do, is create you the map for the success you are wanting in 2017.
TIPS FOR BUSINESS GOAL SETTING
TIP 1: HAVE A WHY
You need to first consider if you have developed the habits necessary for you to achieve your business goals. Setting goals will do you absolutely no good if you do not have the habits necessary to make those goals a reality.
If that is the case I would strongly advise you to consider your WHY for your business. My coach Ray Higdon first told us in order to make it through the tough times we all face in business we must first know our WHY.
To determine your WHY I would advise that you dive deep into why you want to invest your time, energy, emotions and future into creating a successful network marketing business. Take the time to write out your why and the benefits behind it.
Envision the benefits of setting the goal and developing the necessary habits to achieve the goals. Once you can envision the benefits, it will aide you greatly in taking consistent action and create the new habits necessary around your goals and dreams.
TIP 2: KNOW THE PAIN
This is just as an important part of creating goals as your why was. You must understand what the pain will be if you do not set the goals and form the habits necessary to achieve your goals. I heard another saying from my coach Ray Higdon – what is easy to do is also easy not to do. When in business we are our own boss and it can be easy to procrastinate on things in our business. What is the pain if you do not follow your plan and goals? Will you end 2017 in the same position and be saying I could of, would of, should of? Ask yourself the tough questions- what will stay the same, what will get worse?
TIP 3: MAKE A COMMITMENT TO A MONTH
We have all heard that it takes 21 days to create a new habit. My advice is to give yourself and your habits and goals a minimum of one month. Will it be easy to do? The answer is more than likely it will not, but will it be worth it? My answer to this is yes. Once you start seeing that you are making progress even if it is minimal it will be easier to continue. Remember you are sitting goals for what you want to accomplish in your business in 2017 and each step you take is getting you a step closer to achieving your goals and creating the habits that will make those goals a reality.
TIP 4: GET A ACCOUNTABILITY PARTNER
This tip can really help to keep you on track if you choose the correct accountability partner. You can even use social media as your accountability partner, but for business purposes I would advise that you find someone such as a coach or someone else who is also in business and understands you and your goals.
When selecting an accountability partner or coach you want someone who will not take your lame excuses for not doing something. You DO NOT need a “yes man”. You want someone who will tell you exactly how ridiculous your excuses sound. Be honest with yourself, if you didn’t need accountability you wouldn’t be in the position of needing to create a new habit. If your “why” is big enough and the “pain” is deep enough, it’s worth getting accountability to ensure your success.
TIP 4: TRACK YOUR PROGRESS
What you track gives you the information you need to be able to make adjustments and improve upon. TIP 5: GO ALL IN
Do not leave room for excuses. By this if there are tools you need to achieve your goals, then get them. Do not use the excuse that you will wait and see how the first month goes then you will get what you need. Do it NOW!! If you need a calendar to track your appointments, or follow ups, then get it. If you need to find a place in your home to work your business then do it now. Alleviate the excuses before they have the opportunity to stop you. In other words make the decision that you are committed Setting Goals To Be Successful In Network Marketing and committed to creating the habits necessary to make this a reality.
TIP 6: CELEBRATE YOUR ACHIEVEMENTS
You will realize that you can’t change your results, but you can change your habits.” That’s a quote I have often heard Ray Higdon say. So instead of being discouraged by your results, look at your new habit and realize you are creating new results.
I’ll share one of my morning affirmations with you: “I have faith that my daily habits will either lead to success or lead me to failure – and I choose to do the daily habits that lead me to success.”
When you know that you are building and creating habits that will lead you to success, celebrate them! Have confidence that what you’re doing is building your future, creating a change and making you successful!
2017 is going to pass one day at a time. Only you can make the decision and set the goals and create the habits that will either make you successful, or you will find yourself in the same position when we enter 2018. My hope for you is that you make the decision today that you are going to make 2017 the year that you created success and the life of your dreams for you and your loved ones.
