Today I am going to give you some key tips on what you need to know to be a successful network marketer/business owner.
You have joined a network marketing company, so now you are a business owner. There is a world of difference between being an employee and being a business owner.
As an employee your boss or the owner of the company you work for has generally told you what you need to do, and in a lot of cases how you needed to do it.
With your job you had a set time to be at work, you were paid a certain amount for your time, and you really did not have to concern yourself with payroll, marketing, schedules, etc.
As a network marketing business owner, yes you have your upline, sideline, downline. What you need to keep in mind is that your success in business should never be dependent upon them.
You will come across obstacles, there will be times when there is no one available to answer your questions. Do not rely on your upline to create your success.
For this I ask you to think about your JOB. When you are at work and a problem arises, your boss or company owner figures out the solution to the current dilemma. Not always do they have a source to go to.
They must do the research, the studying, and the implementation to correct the problem.
Now with that being said, you need to realize that this is your business and it is your responsibility to make it successful. It is know one else’s.
Yes your upline can be there to answer your questions, but remember she has a business of her own to run and will not always be available. Your success is not really her responsibility.
There are sources all around you that provide you with valuable information on growing your business. Get out of the employee mindset, put a plan in place with goals attached to it.
If you are not comfortable with what to do, then research and study to figure it out. The buck stops with YOU.
Now that you have a plan and goals, you have determined how you are going to implement them. What does your business schedule look like?
Can you imagine how long the company that employed you would be in business if they did not operate off of a schedule?
You never knew when to be at work, you never knew what your job was? Your employer never provided you with what they expected from you in order for you to get paid.
A company operating with no plan, no type of schedule, no duties for employees will not stay in business. When put like this it is pretty plain that every business must operate in a structured type of manner.
Just because you have started your network marketing business from home it is still necessary that you also follow these same principals of business operations.
In network marketing we are paid based on our production. We all know up front what is required for you to make money. It is up to YOU to share your products/services with other people. The same is true when you want to recruit for your business, you must share your opportunity with other people.
Remember people do not know you are in business if you do not tell them.
Now do not spam everyone with your link. Do not put all over social media that you just joined xyz company. Trust me those approaches do not work.
When it comes to social media create curiosity. Yes you can say that you just started your own home based business and would love the support of your friends and family. If someone ask you what type of business, you can simply reply ex. skincare, weight loss, legal, travel etc. Of course they will want to know more. That is when you take them into a private conversation.
As you progress, invest in YOU and your education in network marketing. This will only help you take your business to the next level. You will also want to consider hiring a qualified mentor when you can. This will provide you with knowledge that can only help you grow your business.
