Closing Techniques That Will Improve Your Results
If you are looking to improve your results in Network Marketing, you need to learn closing techniques that actually work. The truth of the matter is that most of us that come into network marketing are not professional sales people. Actually the majority of us do not even like the idea of being a sales person.
I personally look at it as we are helping people to come to a decision without being pushy or salesy. Of course some will say we are selling, but in my world, I am only helping people. I do not take offense to someone telling me No, but also I do love collecting Yes. No since in lying about it.
In order to be able to collect more people saying Yes, there are a few simple techniques which I have had to learn and practice. I will never tell you that I am the best at it. As I see it, I can always improve, and work on that on a regular basis. So let’s get to what is simple but effective techniques to improve your results.
The easiest and best thing you need to learn is to ask better questions. If you really want to close more prospects, or make more sales for your product or service, you MUST learn to ask better questions. The bottom line is the person that doesn’t close is the person who does not ask enough questions, and they do not ask good questions.
Here is a good example: You get a prospect to watch a presentation. You ask them, “Just curious, what did you like best about what you saw? Why were you open to looking at the presentation? Has anything in your life recently changed that has you looking at this?” They reply: “Yes, I am looking because I want to make some extra money.”
“Why do you want to make some extra money? Just curious, if you had some extra money, what would you do with it? ” What you will uncover here with these questions is powerful. See just knowing that they want to make some extra money is good, but when you can uncover exactly why they want to make some extra money, you have power.
Think about this, everyone wants to make some extra money. The lottery would not be in business if people were not looking for extra money. If you do not find out why the person needs to make some extra money, the odds are you will not close them.
You always need to be finding out why? If making extra money, or even time freedom, you must find out why. Once you know the WHY you have something to work with, to help you close them. For example: “I need to make some extra money to pay my daughters college tutition next year, and that is $10,000.” I say, “Okay. Here is another question to follow that with. “Now is that optional or is it something you must do?” They reply: I must do this”
This is where you close them. “So do you have a plan for coming up with the money?” They reply: “No I do not” Then I would follow with: “If I could show you a way with this plan are you willing to lock arms with me, and make it happen? You see I am not selling them, I am helping them make a decision to solve a problem they already have.
You see what you need to get good at is asking the right questions. If you learn these closing techniques you will be amazed at the results you will get. Always be working on improving with the questions you ask, and you will become a absolute rock star at closing people into your business. So many people, do not ask questions, or they don’t ask good questions and they do not ask for the sale. If you make it a habit of asking questions like I illustrated here, you will find that you close far more people into your business, but you must take action for it to work.
