The one thing you will learn about me is that I am very honest and will tell you the truth regardless. Starting a home-based network marketing business is exciting, but it can also be very challenging. But heck anything worth really having in life is going to take hard work. You can either choose to do the hard work building your network marketing business or you can do the hard work building someone else’s dreams. To me, it is a matter of choice and I would much rather put in the hard work and build my dream life as to build someone else’s dream life.
Now that I have given my opinion let’s get to the real work. In order to build a successful network marketing business, it is going to require dedication, long hours and a lot of groundwork, Period.
I sincerely hope that none of you have been brought in with the expectation that the money will start flowing tomorrow. I can tell you the likely hood of that is very slim. However, what I can tell you is to become successful you will need the right skills and the right game plan moving forward.

1.) Setting Proper Expectations With Your New Recruits
When you are talking to a prospect for your business make sure that you set proper expectations from the very beginning.
Be honest with people up front before they sign up of exactly what your business opportunity consists of, and most importantly if you are asked about how much money you have made do not lie about it. If you are just starting and have not made any money, then tell them that, but what you can do is use stories of others in your network marketing company that are making money and what your plans are.
Be a leader and assist your prospect through the signing up process and then you will want a clear blueprint that will help them get their business off the ground.

Be ethical in your business, do not use the old bait and switch, that is the worst way in the world to sign people up in whatever you are doing. NEVER EVER lie about the process of running your own business.
Expand Your Social Network
One of the most important things you can do and should be doing is meeting and connecting with new people on social media. One way to do this online is to join forums, groups on Facebook that have the same interest as you. For example, if you are in health and wellness then look for groups in that niche, and comment on blogs in the home business niche.
If you show interest in what other network marketers are doing they will share tips with you. This is a great way to expand your skills and build relationships at the same time. Do Not Spam your link for your opportunity. That would be like meeting a stranger on the street and giving them your link, it will not work. Build relationships.
Here is one that some people shy away from,The Telephone! So many of us are now using the Internet to build our business in one form or another, and you might not be as likely to use the phone anymore.
Your phone is an invaluable tool. A friendly warm voice on the other end of the line is persuasive enough a lot of times to make sales and bring in new recruits. The person realizes you are a real person who cares about them.

Now this is what I call taking the prospect from a Cold market prospect to Warm and then you can have what I call a Hot buyer. Do Not try to go from cold to hot immediately, it will not work. That is like saying hello to someone, then asking them immediately to marry you. What do you think the odds are that the person would say Yes? I can tell you, slim to none. You must build the relationship.
Find out what your prospect is looking for in a career, what are their dreams and aspirations, what is their life like now?
You can go over with the prospect how signing up under you and your team can help them achieve their goals.
To me there is nothing worse than someone who views you with a dollar sign on your forehead. Honestly, would you like that? If you will be a good listener, and build sincere relationships, the prospect will know that you have their best interest at heart. If your opportunity is not a good fit for your prospect, be honest with them and tell them. You will gain their respect for your honestity, and you never know who they may refer to you.
I honestly believe people want to succeed but they also need to know that you actually do care. Building a Network Marketing business honestly is not about you, it is about your recruits goals and dreams, by helping them to achieve their goals, you can get there as well also!!
In closing make sure that you set a plan in place to connect with X-number people each day, and when you are connecting be sure to actually show them that you are a real person who has their best interest at heart, and that you really do care about them and not just yourself. You do this and you can not loose.
